Therapy is the first step in the right direction.

Welcome. My name is Julia and I am an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology. I offer face-to-face therapy sessions in Basingstoke, and video therapy nationally.

Do you find yourself battling unwanted thoughts? Can’t stop thinking about the past? Or feel disconnected from people around you?

You have come to the right place. I provide a safe, compassionate & non-judgemental space that can help you explore these emotions, understand why they developed and how you can break the cycle. At the end of therapy, you will be equipped with a range of tools and techniques to support you in managing your symptoms and navigating future difficulties. I work with a range of difficulties, and specialise in trauma and OCD.

What you can expect from therapy with me

01 — Evidence-Based & Experienced

I am a qualified & BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is one of the most evidence-based forms of therapy. It has been shown to be effective for a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD & OCD. Want to hear more about CBT first? Book a free consultation!

02 — Flexible & Integrative

Whilst my approach is at its core based on CBT, I consider myself an integrative practitioner. If suitable for your problem, we will be using strategies from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness-Based approaches.

03 — Non-judgemental & Compassionate

It’s important to have a space that allows you to be yourself, without a fear of being judged. I provide a compassionate space that allows you to explore your emotions safely. Whilst I work with many difficulties, I specialise in trauma- & shame-based presentations. If you feel your current problem is linked to trauma, or you struggle with feelings of shame and guilt, you are in the right place.

04 — Collaborative & Empowering

For CBT to be effective, it is important that we work well together and establish a collaborative, open working relationship. The aim of CBT is that you become your own therapist - to the degree that eventually you will feel you no longer need support. On average, people need between 6-20 sessions of CBT to achieve significant progress or recovery. We will review on a regular basis how support is working out for you and whether we are progressing.

There is a whole lot of happiness you are yet to discover.

Let’s start this journey together.
